Organic and unbleached, these onion-skin-like paper are traditionally handcrafted by people from Dai ethnic group in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. It is excellent for pu-erh wrapping and calligraphy - thanks to its durability and breathability from the wood fibers. The production of this paper starts with harvesting inner barks of paper mulberry, which are then soaked, boiled, pounded into a paste, and then sun-dried to sheets. Pu-erh once traded and transported on the tea-horse route was wrapped with the same handcrafted paper.
